Craps Rules

In terms of the game of craps, there are some rules that need to be followed. If you are playing online then most of these rules will probably not apply to you, but if you are playing offline you need to take note of these rules. While usually not actually written in stone as a matter of casino policy, these rules nevertheless have been around for many years in terms of craps playing and following them is the best way to ensure that you have a good time playing craps and that your evening is not marred by conflict bred through misunderstanding.

Rule 1
The first rule that you need to follow is the rule of the shooter. Whenever a shooter ends up losing a round or busting out of their own chips, they can no longer play on the craps table and therefore they need to pass the dice over to the next person. Now, while being the shooter is something that is extremely fun to do and therefore many people want to do it, you do need to follow the appropriate protocol laid out by the house with respect to the succession of shooters that will come about during a typical craps session. It usually has something to do with either position at the table (some people don't want to be shooters and therefore they position themselves appropriately) or the time spent waiting at the table and of course in the case of any disagreements, the house will immediately moderate all of the different disputes.

Rule 2
Rule 2 also has to do with the shooter in the sense that you need to show the shooter respect. In the long run, luck has more to do with how much you win or lose than the shooter does and therefore there is no sense in getting angry at the shooter and blaming them for your losses. This is important to keep in mind because the casino takes the game of craps very seriously and if you happen to abuse one of the shooters in some way, they are very likely to come down hard on you.
